Our Residential Treatment Program

As your partner in hope and healing, we treat teens ages 12-17 with emotional and behavioral problems in a caring environment. Caring physicians and psychiatrists, mental health therapists, nurses and activity therapists provide treatment specific to the individual needs of each patient. The clinical staff uses a multidisciplinary team approach that encourages a healthy balance between mental, physical and spiritual aspects of our residents’ lives.

Treatment includes counseling, education, therapeutic groups and peer support. Residents have access to our classroom, gymnasium, swimming pool, tennis courts and art therapy areas. We encourage family involvement to help aid in our residents’ recovery and offer parent education sessions and family therapy regularly throughout treatment.

What to Expect

Prior to admission, our staff conducts an initial assessment of the resident. Once admitted, residents are evaluated to determine their psychiatric, physical, and psychosocial health as well as their educational, expressive and recreational abilities.

Treatment can include:

  • Equine therapy
  • Cognitive Behavior Therapy
  • Psychodrama Therapy
  • Accelerated Resolution Therapy
  • Recreational Therapy
  • Music Therapy
  • Yoga
  • Mindfulness group
  • Balanced Day Positive Reinforcement Program
  • Nutrition Group
  • Wellness Program

New Positive Reinforcement Program

The Balanced Day program allows residents to earn tokens by completing essential tasks such as making the bed, practicing self-care, attending groups and helping others. Tokens can then be used daily to redeem items from our store. The program is designed to promote resident participation in active treatment. Those who participate report better outcomes and improved satisfaction with their treatment.

Discharge Planning

The resident receives a discharge plan that details instructions for medications and outpatient follow-up services. We encourage resident and family involvement for successful continued support.
